Here is a link to a website that shows a list of famous people with communication disorders. This could be a great motivating tool to use in the classroom for students with communication disorders.

ReplyDeleteThat's really cool. I feel that it would be great for children with problems to be able to see other people who over came the same problems and accomplished so much.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mandy I believe children with similar disorders would feel more confident if they knew there were people that had the same disorder. It might give them more courage to try to over come it!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing seeing the extensive list of famous people who have overcome their communication disorders. This is encouraging to me, as well as I believe it would be to students with disorders, because if they can overcome their disorder I know all the students I encounter have a shot at it too. They did not just overcome it, many actually make their living at something that most would think it would keep them from doing.
