I feel like we can still express how we feel without having the vocabulary to do so. For example my mother knows nothing about football and she cant even name the positions, but She used to come watch me play she would use her own words to describe who and what she was saying. No doubt it would have been easier to understand what she meant if she knew what a center and guard was, but with a little effort she was understandable. Also, I feel like she would have learned more about the game if she knew the lingo. In short what im saying is that it may effect how a child learns the subject if they dont have the vocab, but I still feel they will be able to communicate and express themselves regarding the issue.
Interesting quote! If we do not have the "vocabulary" are we able to "express" thoughts about a topic? How does this impact how a child LEARNS?
