Class lastnight had such a close relationship with the Linguistics class I'm taking in ITP with KP (Karen Petronio) and might I say that the complexity of the English language, and even into the developement to signs through Stokoe's system is remarkable and really amazing from my perspective as a student. I apologize for the run-on sentence :))

    It really is amazing just how complex the english language is. It's not something I really thought about until this class, it's second nature to so many of us. I couldn't imagine learning it as a second language!

    I remember when I took ITP Linguistics, how much I learned and loved that class. It was hard but it helped me learn sign in a total different way and how signs connected and is truly a language.

    I agree with Sarah. I never really realized how complex the English language was. I thought the activity where we wrote out our names was very cool. It was cool to see how you would write letters that had more than one sound.
