This exercise would be a great way to teach students about phonemes. It really helps to break up the words and allow the students to sound each letter out.
This video makes me see more about phonemes. It shows me how to show people how to break them down and sound them out. It makes me think about words that I say and how I would break them down.
The activity shown on the video could really help children break words apart, sound them out, and read them. I was wondering if this activity would confuse students when working with words that have the 2 vowles (leaf).
I believe this video really distinct's between the actual sound and the spelling of the words. I believe this could be a very creative way to teach not even younger children but future teachers and adults that aren't very familiar with the structure of language.
I really liked this video. It actually did make me understand the concept of phonemes better. Sometimes looking at the letter can be distracting (since the phonemes would actually be different than how you would spell the word). This seems like a really creative and easy way to teach this concept to others.
