Dialects

I found a website that showed the dialect differences between American English, British English, and New Zealand English. I found it interesting to listen to the differences.

  1. I think British accents are sweet. I didn't think i had a southern accent, but i met a guy from Chicago and him and his wife said they thought i had a big southern accent. But i feel like i have a general American accent. I guess we just get used to hearing ourselves.

  2. I love how the words that have vowels followed by "r" are called "R colored words." It was pretty cool to be able to hear them each pronounce a variety of words. I played a little game guessing how each would say things from what I already know, and I am proud to say, I was pretty spot on. It kind of shows how consistent accents are for the most part.
