I found a website that showed the dialect differences between American English, British English, and New Zealand English. I found it interesting to listen to the differences.

I think British accents are sweet. I didn't think i had a southern accent, but i met a guy from Chicago and him and his wife said they thought i had a big southern accent. But i feel like i have a general American accent. I guess we just get used to hearing ourselves.
ReplyDeleteI love how the words that have vowels followed by "r" are called "R colored words." It was pretty cool to be able to hear them each pronounce a variety of words. I played a little game guessing how each would say things from what I already know, and I am proud to say, I was pretty spot on. It kind of shows how consistent accents are for the most part.
